Aeraze Product Development

Aeraze has been developed in Italy by Orion Technologies with our trusted partners.

Aeraze has been developed in Italy by Orion Technologies, with the assistance for specific components and trials of some of the most reputable Italian research institutions: INAF (Astrophysics National Institute – source modeling and reflector design), DIBIC Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences L. Sacco Milan (SARS-CoV-2 inactivation), Fondazione Bruno Kessler (Microelectronics Lab – real time sensor monitor).

Development Highlights

Starting early 2020, Aeraze’s development involved:

  •  a team of 18 engineers, biologists, physicists, software and hardware developers
  • 1400 hours of laboratory researching and measuring
  • 700 hours of code development
  • 1800 UV measurements
  • in Italy (Bolzano, Milano, Bologna, Firenze) and
  • Europe (Germany, The Netherlands, Czeck Republic)

With a unique proposition: “designing the most advanced and functional handheld device for disinfection against Sars-Cov-2 and other pathogens”.
The three main R&D projects for specific components involved research institutions in Milan (DIBIC Milan, INAF-OAS Brera), Trento (FBK) and Bologna (INAF-OAS).

Aeraze has been designed with the support of:

  • Juno Design (Bologna) – mechanical engineering, 3D modeling and rapid prototyping
  • Radium (Wipperfürth, Germany) – special UV sources
  • Amarula (Amsterdam, NL – Prague, CZ) – embedded systems project and UI design

Our Development Partners

Aeraze delivers a new concept for photoinactivation designed for performance.

Aeraze has been designed together with the top European skills from Amarula Solutions (NL, CZ) JUNO Design (I), Radium Lampenwerk (DE).

The development of Aeraze has been aided by the Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano under the law N.14 of December 13th, 2006, by the Department for Innovation.
